PRESS: DIA to buy 50 bln rbl troubled assets from Rossiysky Capital

MOSCOW, Feb 9 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA) plans to buy around 50 billion rubles of troubled assets from its unit bank Rossiysky Capital by July, Kommersant business daily reported Thursday citing sources.

In October 2016, the central bank demanded that DIA transfer Rossiysky Capital to another investor, and the Agency for Housing Mortgage Lending (AIZhK) was named as the main candidate.

Sources said that assets of troubled construction company SU-155 will not be included on the list of assets that DIA will buy from Rossiysky Capital. The bank has been financing a SU-155 bailout since the end of 2015.
